We recently got this amazing little device and did a quick cinematic test. We also used this Osmo Pocket when we went to Japan. I'd say that it can't be beat for the price. Bro, any problem when filming and mic is on your face ?
@pawarit555, no problems for me since I'm used to it. It's not for everyone for sure and it'll be in the way for talking head videos. This is nice for podcasting or some type of a radio station setup, but for other videos like for example unboxing, consider getting a lavalier/lapel mic for those types of videos. @@heybreath, yes same with me! Haha... I really like the look of it too it's just that the problem with this Thronmax is that it can't handle heavy mics and I did a comparison video about it with the Rode PSA1. You can check it out here if you want: ruclips.net/video/Xz_iPo54axs/видео.html For conference and casual talk, this is a great choice if you have a lighter microphone but if you do have a heavy one, you may want to look for a different boom arm then, like the Rode PSA1 or other scissor type boom arm in the market. The only thing is that, it's not as good looking as this Thronmax.

I am still undecided about this one, ask I heard on other reviews that it is still to bright even at 1 % . Is it correct ?
@Zoltan NS, yes it's still bright and I use this mostly now as a fill light at 1%. Also, the only thing I don't like about this is that it spills light to the background if use as a key light. You'll need a softbox or something to soften the light more, otherwise it's a great light for the price. Thanks for watching and commenting! 🙏🏽

Thank you so much @Enveng! We appreciate it! 🙏🏽You can only change the last part, the one with the 3 pins if you know how to solder. Also, you can't change the cable since it's built-in to the frame tubing. That's the only thing with this boom arm and if the wiring goes wrong, it won't be easy to replace it. Hope this helps. @@ravencalimbas7455 It comes with adapters to connect different microphones but it doesn't come with any USB cable since this boom arm has dedicated XLR cable. The Thronmax S1 is the one you're looking for if you need a USB cable that is built-in to the frame tubing as well. They're both identical just with different cables. The base is made of metal and it has a plastic cap on it. The C part of the clamp is just powder coated metal, the top is metal inside (it's all one piece), with a plastic cap that covers the entire base. I think they wanted to make it look more substantial and hide the rough casting. You can actually see this in your video, but I also own one.

Hi Ria, you can't go wrong with the Thronmax S2 or the Rode PSA1. Just take into consideration the weight of the mic that you'll use with the Thronmax S2 though, if it's a lighter mic, you're good to go then, but if it's heavy like the Electro-voice RE27n/d that I have, You might want to check out the Rode PSA1 which is great for heavier microphones.
its sad because there's a better copy for the mika (for what i think) but its not available anywhere i tried contacting anyone that might have and even the manufacturer said they're out of stock even on their factories, its the Alctron MA614 successor, the MA616 :) i has the on air light like the mika has :)
Hi Kim, yes I checked it out online and it looks good. The dealer in Canada that was listed on their website doesn't have much info about it though. It would be cool if I'll be able to get one so I can compare it to the Thronmax S2 or even the Rode PSA-1. :)
@@BernieandIvey i had the the psa-1 before use it on my procaster i was only 3 months when it cant handle the weight or the procaster anymore . now back with the trusty neewer. wanted to try the blue compass but i saw the new alctron ma616 but cant get it anywhere now i even contacted alctron themselves but even on the factory no stocks . could be due to covid
@@kimkelvin Yes, you can’t go wrong with the Neewer brand. I have some of their products and they’re pretty good. It’s too bad that the Alctron MA616 isn’t available. I really hope that you’ll be able to get one soon!

Hi rgould77777, I used the Canon 28mm 2.8 FD lens and for timelapse, I used the GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition and I don't have any electronic motors of some sort to do those panning shots. I just used this software called Panolapse and it works great!
what lens did you use? and the timelapse at 0:17 , how did you pan the camera on a timelapse?? electronic motors??
